When Brian and Jasmine Jones spent a “stay-and-play” weekend at the planned community of Wickenburg Ranch, a Trilogy Resort Community in Wickenburg, Ariz., they knew immediately that they had found their future retirement home. In that pre-pandemic time, the couple was assigned an “ambassador” to show them around, introduce them to people and answer questions. Brian was hooked from the moment he played the “Big Wick” golf course. “When Jasmine suggested looking at Wickenburg Ranch, I questioned why we would look way out there, practically […]

safety chains chopper view By Russ and Tiña De Maris We’ve repeatedly harped on the importance of having, inspecting, and safely using trailer safety chains. If something were to uncouple your tow vehicle from your trailer, safety chains can prevent the trailer from going its own way with disastrous results. But a couple in Idaho inadvertently learned that safety chains can act in reverse. For them, safety chains saved the day, keeping them from almost certain death. Anything but an ordinary trip Last Monday, Nicki […]

Photo Credit: asenat29/Wiki Commons I know you love me but PLEASE don’t buy me anything. We are full-time RVers and are packing up the motorhome after five months at the same site. It is amazing how much stuff we have out and how much we have accumulated in a short amount of time. It is also quite dismaying to find my “spots” for everything overflowing with over-abundant Amazon purchases and the wonderful presents that have been graciously gifted to me. Instead of buying groceries by […]

Photo: EvgeniiAnd (Shutterstock) A child’s delight in hunting for Easter eggs (and consuming all the jelly beans stashed inside), dying eggs in vibrant colors, and digging through baskets full of chocolate bunnies may start to wane as they hit their pre-teen and teenager years. Your pastel plastic tablecloth with the flowers and bunnies is suddenly deeply uncool, and they’re rolling their eyes at your enthusiastic suggestion that they peel themselves off the couch to go looking for all the plastic eggs you hid for them. Hey, long time lurker first time poster. Just wanted to share a deal I found to be pretty good, related to internet access. So, the t-mobile home internet plan that was launched in January, I just got this week. It’s $50/month for unlimited data, equipment included, 5g compatible. The modem itself runs on dc12v, has ethernet out and wifi. The best options before this plan/service, afaik, were to buy a grandfathered in unlimited plan somehow (otherwise you get up to $60-80-ish/month), and fiddle with apn settings, usb tether to […]

See the full blog post with links to original posts/videos & product links – https://www.loveyourrv.com/10-things-… Well, it’s now mid-February, and frigid air from the polar vortex has even spilled out onto the west coast of Canada, dropping our usually mild winter temps down under the freezing mark. Instead of the regular steady stream of Pacific Ocean storms bringing cool, wet weather but at least above freezing temps, we now have snow and ice! I thought this would be a perfect time to go over the things I’ve added to […]

Lech Naumovich, of Whitefish, works at one of the dedicated desks with his border collie Silene at Basecamp Coworking in Whitefish on Thursday, Feb. 11. (Casey Kreider/Daily Inter Lake) They’re easy to miss, hunkered down behind laptops in home offices, but remote workers are quietly setting up shop around the Flathead Valley. The COVID-19 pandemic spurred companies nationwide to adopt more flexible, socially distanced operations, so for many of their employees, the home is now the workplace. And for some of these remote workers, the Flathead has become home. […]

Looking for input – Grand Design 2400RBH vs Freedom Express 257BHS

We’ve narrowed our search down to these two models. I know they’re not identical layouts, I’m more curious about feedback from owners. The Grand Design is (as expected ) quite a bit more expensive, but seems like it has more creature comforts. But is it worth it? Locally I can get the FE unit, the GD is not in stock locally, but we can be patient. Is Asdale (or whatever it’s called) really a great idea? One vendor told us the adhesives aren’t super durable, especially with cold weather. […]
