Someday, we’re going to be telling our grandchildren working the moon farms about this legendarily bad year—the needless and preventable deaths, the isolation, the hundred-plus other little daily nightmares and difficulties that made it so singularly awful. But with any luck, we’ll end our rambling recollections on a positive note: “And then, we all got vaccinated, life returned to some semblance of normalcy, and the most dangerously unstable man ever to hold the presidency was put behind bars, where he so richly belonged.” (We may be indulging in some […]

Photo: VALERIE MACON/AFP (Getty Images) In 2007, Britney Spears endured a very public downfall and quickly became a punching bag for the national comedy circuit. Skewering Spears for public gaffes—shaving her head, accidentally exposing herself while climbing out of a limo, marrying the backup dancer Kevin Federline in a shotgun wedding—became the kind of comedic layup that made late night show hosts salivate. America’s gleeful schadenfreude is recounted in Framing Britney Spears , a new New York Times documentary about the pop-star, currently streaming on Hulu and HBO Max. […]

So, I’ve been trying to figure out what to do with my weight distribution hitch when I’m at the campsite. I was putting in the truck bed, then tried a tote, and finally decided I needed something more secure and out of the way. This is my solution: https://imgur.com/gallery/iUkkJUU I used an RV bumper hitch secured to the front A-frame. The hitch drops in vertically out of the way and I just put a bucket on it for now to keep the elements off of it. I cut down […]

Hey All, I have a 28′ Chateau Sport (Class C) RV and normally we travel without a toad. But I’m kinda kicking the idea around of getting a Jeep Wrangler to flat tow behind it. We travel a lot in the summer and I’ve always wanted a Jeep. I’m thinking about a used Wrangler of course and I’m pretty much a minimalist at heart, so I’m asking for some collective wisdom on what I should look for as far as which generation is best to flat tow? Does it […]
