I’ve been looking for RVs for fulltiming. It’s going to be just me with friends popping in for a week or two here and there. I found a 2006 Winnebago View 23J and was wondering if it’s a good deal. I toured it a few days ago and everything looks fine, no sign of moisture/water leaking inside the RV. Brand new tires, engine runs fine and oil looks good. It was winterized, so I didn’t have a chance to check out the plumbing and electrical. But the dealership offers a post-purchase/pre-delivery option to have a 140 point check performed (roof seal, electrical, plumbing, slide-out, generator, etc.) and if anything isn’t working, they will get it in working order. The cost of this option is $2700. Miles: 43,000 Price: ~$45,000 I have a few questions, so if the mods want me to ask them separately, let me know! Is this a good deal for the price? There don’t seem to be a lot of comps for the specific unit, one other I found on RVTrader is listed at $39 and has 130k miles on it… What should I go in at when negotiating? Any tips or advice for purchasing through a used RV dealership? What are your preferences for loan and insurance for an older RV? Thank you for your help!!
