They’re Zooming with 20 fidgety, distracted first graders every single day for hours on end. Or they’re putting their own health at risk to teach our kids in person. Or they’re managing a mix of both, which means they’re experiencing the worst of both worlds.
(I think if the kids in my son’s hybrid class could simply remember to take attendance on their virtual days, his teacher’s quality of life would drastically improve. Such a simple—yet rather important—thing that none of us can seem to do with any real consistency.)
